Welcome to my site, I am Trenton Rearick, an aspiring author and lover of fantasy novels. I’ve loved fantasy for most of my life, probably because as a child my mother would tell me versions of Star Wars or Anne McCaffrey’s Dragonriders of Pern stories because I got tired of hearing Go Dog Go so much (not that I don’t love some Go Dog Go). This love of stories started me down a path of wanting to write stories of my own.
The site has undergone some shifts in focus. The days of Web Serials are essentially gone, and the focus is on information about one of my settings (Akwabahiri) and rules for using various GamesWorkshop and Reaper miniatures in Fifth Edition D&D.
A little bit more about me. Reading and writing are not my only loves in life. My wife certainly ranks at the top of my list, and she is incredibly supportive of my fool’s dream of being a moderately successful author. I am far too into football, particularly the Baltimore Ravens. There is a decent chance I may talk about them from time to time.
On the more classically “nerd” side, I DM for my wife and old college friends fairly regularly, which is soon to be embarking on a quest into a world that is going to be the setting of one novel I’m working on. I paint miniatures for those games, but really it is because I love the craft. These passions have become a focus of a lot of my work these days.
